Wonderful job Tony! I bought the Sparkle Drive and FD2M and test drove them on my system and hands down the FD2M is superior to the SParkle. The SParkle is too limiting. Better tone and more options from FD2M. Thanks again.

Anthony, great stuff!!!! At the very top of the pedal shoot out page you show three amp settings (clean to max drive). What was the amp setting you used for each pedal (i'm assuming it was the same)? Did you use clean amp setting when you used the pedal on clean boost? Did you use clean amp setting for max drive on the pedal or did you change the amp settings to max drive when you used the pedal set on max drive?

Also, what should I get for compression pedals? What exactly is a parametric compression pedal and does it very from a plain old compression pedal (you know the ones with the 10 or so little things that stick up which you can move up and down?

Help!!! I'm a serious novice when it comes to guitar amps and effects. I've pretty much only played accoustic guitar and have recently moved over to electric.

Anthony, you are the man! This is so very comprehensive and helpful, it's priceless. It is great to see pedals I have (BD-2, Bad Monkey) as well as pedals I've thought about getting. Thanks!

Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to do this comparison. I know that I, and I'm sure many others, don't have the resources to evaluate so many pedals at one time. Looking forward to your conclusions.

Anthony,
Great example of a well thought out comparison of pedals. Very useful and easy to navigate. I am also glad you included the Nobels pedal. Many thanks and much appreciation!

Best Regards,
Steve
